Two Bosses

Tale of two bosses:

#1: Every single conversation he worked in how smart I am.
#2: Not once did he work in how smart I am.

#1: Gave me great freedom to work on what I felt was important, but never put me in high-leverage positions.
#2: Gave me equal freedom and deliberately put me in high-leverage positions.

#1: Damned with faint praise.
#2: Told people regularly how great he thought I was.

#1: Potentate.
#2: Real leader.
